Status
This page is where you can find information about Kivvo's current service availability, ongoing incidents, and scheduled maintenance. If something isn't working the way it should, this is the first place to check.
The short version
This page shows the current status of Kivvo's services.
If there's an outage or an ongoing incident, details will appear here.
We update this page as soon as we're aware of an issue, and again when it's resolved.
Kivvo is a very small company — currently two people. We'll tell you honestly what's happening.
If Kivvo seems slow or unavailable, and this page shows everything as operational, submit a support ticket via the Support page.
Current status
All systems operational.
Kivvo's services are currently operating normally. There are no known incidents affecting the availability of the app or the processing of contributions.
Last updated: October 2026.
Our services
Here are the parts of Kivvo we monitor, and what each one covers.
Web app
The Kivvo web application at kivvo.co.nz — including sign-in, goals, contributions, Kivvo Payouts, Kivvo+, and the documentation and support areas.
API
The backend services that power the web app — including account management, contribution processing, and notifications.
Payments
Contribution and subscription processing, provided through our payment provider (Stripe). This includes card payments and bank authorisations.
Authentication
Sign-in and account access, provided through our authentication provider (Supabase). This covers email sign-in and session management.
Notifications
In-app notifications and any transactional messages you receive from Kivvo.
Support
The support ticket system — creating tickets, replies, and ticket history.
Known incidents and scheduled maintenance
There are currently no known incidents and no scheduled maintenance.
When there is an incident or scheduled maintenance, we'll publish it here with:
What's affected — the services and features involved
When it started — the time the issue was first observed
What we're doing — the current status of the response
Expected resolution — a realistic estimate, if we can give one
Updates — as more information becomes available
How we communicate outages
When something goes wrong, here's how we'll tell you:
On this page — for major incidents, we'll post updates here as soon as we're aware of them.
In-app — where the incident affects your ability to use Kivvo, we may show a notice inside the app.
In your notification area — for incidents that affect specific users or features.
We won't email you about incidents, because we don't use email for support. If you want to be kept informed, check this page.
What we monitor
We aim to have monitoring in place for:
Uptime — whether the web app and API are responding
Error rates — whether requests are failing at a higher-than-normal rate
Response times — whether the app is slower than it should be
Payment processing — whether contributions and subscriptions are being processed
Sign-in reliability — whether users are able to sign in
Because Kivvo is a very small team, our monitoring isn't as comprehensive as a large company's. We're actively improving it.
What to do if something isn't working
If Kivvo seems slow, unavailable, or not working as expected:
1. Check this page first
If there's a known incident, we'll list it above. If there's an active incident, we're working on it — no need to tell us.
2. Try basic troubleshooting
Refresh the page
Try a different browser
Try a different device
Check your internet connection
Disable any VPN or proxy temporarily to see if that's the issue
Check whether other sites are working — if they're not, the problem might be your connection
3. Submit a support ticket
If this page shows everything as operational and you're still having problems, please submit a support ticket via the Support page. Include:
What you were trying to do
What happened instead
What device and browser you were using
The approximate time the issue occurred
Any error messages you saw
We'll look into it.
Reporting an outage
If you believe Kivvo is down or not working, and this page doesn't already show it, please let us know by submitting a support ticket.
Multiple reports help us spot patterns and act faster. Don't assume someone else has already told us.
Our commitment
We're honest about what we can and can't do:
We'll tell you when something's wrong. No silence during outages.
We'll tell you what we know. Even when we don't know the full picture, we'll share what we do.
We'll tell you when we expect it to be fixed. If we can't give an exact time, we'll say so.
We'll update you. If the situation changes, we'll update this page.
Because we're a very small team, response times during incidents may be slower than at larger companies. We'll do our best.
About Kivvo's reliability
Kivvo is an early-stage product built by two people. We aim for high availability, and we're honest that our reliability isn't yet at the level of a major financial institution.
What we're doing to improve reliability:
Using dependable infrastructure — including established providers for hosting, payments, and authentication
Monitoring key services — so we know quickly when something goes wrong
Fixing issues promptly — prioritising issues based on impact to users
Learning from incidents — we review what happened after each significant incident and improve
Over time, as Kivvo grows, we plan to invest more in reliability infrastructure and monitoring. For now, we're doing our best with what we have.
